Since the first introduction of the Yashica Guy Pro Battery Adapter by me, 10 years ago, [ which has become the world-wide de facto standard ] I have received many requests for a Yashica battery solution to replace the two notoriously leaky and expensive PX640 batteries that were used for the Yashica Lynx 5000e , Lynx 14e, GX, and Original TL. Note that the Lynx cameras without the "e" designation use a 625A battery widely available, and the TL X and TL Super use a PX28 battery still available.

As time has gone by, the mercury batteries that were discontinued in January of 2000, are hard to find and certainly not fresh. To meet this challenge you can now obtain the Yashica Guy "Instant Drop-In" Battery Compartment Converter that uses batteries readily available at any shopping center and costs half of what the two PX 640's would have set you back anyway.

A separate Converter is available the Yashica GX, Lynx 14e / 5000e versions and the TL. These units are not "One Size Fits All",
so it is important to specify the camera that you require it for on the Order Form.

The Minolta Hi-Matic E, Petri ES Auto and Fujica Electro share the same PX 640 battery operated Electro shutter as the Yashicas, and so I can supply a Converter for these too.

Only ONE Converter kit is required for any listed camera.The cost is $12 US funds for the Converter, checked in an actual camera before mailing. Batteries are not supplied by me to avoid Postal & Customs restrictions. The included Data Sheet lists the batteries by manufacturers around the world. If you include an email address, I will immediately notify you of shipment.

PLEASE NOTE: I will never supply a unit that uses springs or stacks of watch or hearing aid batteries that are sure to dissappoint.
